This course is was the third literature course taken at CSUMB and it fulfills MLO 1 & 3. I was very excited to take another literature class because thanks to the previous literature classes I discovered that it's my passion. The class helped to fulfill MLO 1 & 3. During class we did a lot of reading and group discussion of many masterworks of Latin America & the Caibbean authors that reflected the historical, political and social context. The masterpieces that we read were extremely interesting. When we covered "Naturalismo", I enjoyed the reading and class discussion. There was one particular short story that I loved called "El Chiflón del Diablo" writing by Baldomero Lillo which reflects the dangerous and poor labor and living conditions. During this course I had many reading assignments, discussions, exams and a final presentation. I learned how critically analyze the content of the literary masterpieces.
